My GF and I like to visit the pool on Sundays to get a little sun time in before the kiddies raid the place. On 7/18 we did the usual basking and noticed a particular funk in the pool. At first I thought it was just the angle but upon closer inspection it was more like the BP spill in the gulf coast!

Ok, maybe not that bad but let's just say I could clearly write the words "Wash Me" on the side of the tiles. Regretfully, I had funk under my fingernail after that.. bleh! Doesn't the pool monitor kid do anything besides playing on the laptop and sleep? How about some regular pool maintenance folks!

I was wondering the same thing. A few weeks ago the june bugs were really bad. They were all over the pool. If there had been a skimmer, I would have cleaned it myself.

I was at the pool last week and noticed the monitor take a sample of water, so apparently they at least check the chlorine levels.
